Ticket info released for Martinsville Regional

The Morristown basketball team will play in the Martinsville Regional on Saturday.

The No. 4 Yellow Jackets (24-2) battle No. 2 University (21-2) in the second semifinal of the afternoon. Seventh-ranked Tindley (18-7) and Bloomfield (16-9) meet in the first semifinal at 10 a.m.

Morristown announced ticket information on Monday. Tickets are available in the high school office for $10 each. These tickets will gain you admission all day at Martinsville.

All spectators must enter through Door No. 1. It is not reserved seating, meaning you do not have specific seat number. Morristown will have a section for the students. Martinsville has an upper section and lower section. The restrooms are located on the lower level, but the concessions are only available on the upper level.

The team bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Fans and community members are invited to send the team off. Doors will open one hour before the first game. The championship is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The fan bus departure time will be announced later. Those attending the game are encouraged to wear black. Fans cannot take banners, shakers or noise makers into the regional.

Shirts are available in the high school office for $10 each, as well. If you order a long sleeve in the office by Wednesday, then you can pick it up Friday morning or at the pep session. Long sleeve shirts are $15.

Extended ticket and shirt sales: In case you cannot make it during the day, Morristown will be selling tickets at the high school office on Wednesday until 6:00 pm.
