Scott A. Sosbe

Scott A. Sosbe, 53, of Fairland, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at MPH Medical Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1964, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Henry Sosbe and Rosamond (Knight) Sosbe. He married Theresa (Britt) Sosbe on April 5, 1985, and she survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Brande Murdoch (husband, Justin), of Fairland, Jennifer Root (husband, Kyle), of Fairland, Lacey Nigh (husband, Phillip), of Shelbyville, and Brittne Woosley (husband, Bret) of Shelbyville; two brothers, Ronald Sosbe, of Fairland, and David Sosbe (wife, Jackie), of Manilla; four grandchildren, Emma and Ryleigh Murdoch, Brayden and Kayley Nigh, and baby Woosley, who will be arriving in September.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Sosbe had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and attended Triton Central High School.

He had been a painter and sandblaster for several years, employed by Custom Coatings of Shelbyville.

Scott loved off-road mudding in his Jeep and buggy, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Funeral services and visitation were Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Reid officiating.

Burial was at Fairland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Association of Shelby County, in care of the funeral home.
