Pauline M. Schuler

Pauline M. Schuler, 93, of Shelbyville, passed away, Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Ashford Place Health Campus.

She was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Evansville, to Fred and Susanna (Wolf) Batteiger.

Mrs. Schuler is survived by her daughters, Debby Hart, of Shelbyville, Bonnie Schuler, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Stacey Harding, of Estes Park, Colorado; her granddaughter, Gina (Jamey) Lemasters-Smith; great-grandson, Conner Beagle, of Shelbyville; three grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Texas; her brother, Ralph Batteiger, of Evansville; her sister, Leona Gray, of Nashville, Indiana; dearly treasured nieces, Heather (Steve) Mollo, of Nashville, and Kathy Tretter; and nephews, James Gray, of Washington, and Brian Batteiger, of Virginia.

She retired from the University of Southern Indiana in 1994.

Mrs. Schuler loved the Lord Jesus Christ, reading, listening to music and animals. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Mitchell officiating.

Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville.
