Seagrave, Triton Central golf team edged by Speedway at conference meet

Triton Central’s Jackson Seagrave made the All-Indiana Crossroads Conference team on Monday after shooting an 81 at the conference meet.

The Triton Central golf team finished second overall at the Indiana Crossroads Conference meet on Monday. The Tigers were just one stroke shy of conference champion Speedway.

Jackson Seagrave made the All-ICC team after shooting a round of 81. Luke Sanders and Jordan Brandman were close behind and carded 83s.

SW golf falls to Indian Creek

The Southwestern golf team fell to Indian Creek on Monday, 178-199.

Blake Schneider led the team with a 43. Nick Robinson shot a 46, Noah Richardson a 54 and Decklan Pappano a 56.

Indian Creek’s Scott Russell was medaist with a 39.

SHS baseball edges Warren Central

The Shelbyville baseball team edged Warren Central on Monday, 3-2. Two runs in the first inning and one in the third was enough to earn the win.

Brock Blackwell earned the victory on the mound for SHS. He threw 4.2 innings, allowed five hits and struck out four.

Blackwell and Mark Kuhn had one hit and one RBI each for the Golden Bears. Damon Lux and Lucas Stieneker had the other two hits for Shelbyville.

MT baseball, softball fall to Hauser

The Morristown baseball and softball teams fell to Hauser on Monday. The baseball team lost 15-2, and the softball team lost 16-3.

Daniel Brenneman and Logan Laster each had a hit for the Yellow Jackets.

Keagan Herzog had a double and two RBIs to lead the softball team. Lexie New added an RBI single.

Jennifer Whitney singled and scored one run. Lily Baker had the other hit for the Yellow Jackets.

Waldron baseball, softball topped by Edinburgh

The Waldron baseball and softball teams fell to Edinburgh on Monday. Both teams lost 10-0.

SW tennis moves to 9-5

The Southwestern tennis team improved to 9-5 with a 4-1 win over Trinity Lutheran Monday on Senior Night.

At No. 1 singles, Jenna Kuntz defeated Courtney Barker 6-2, 6-1, while Abby Sweet defeated Abby Schult 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2. At No. 3 singles, Hailey Bowman defeated Lauren Voss 6-0, 6-2 to move to 17-0. 

The No. 1 doubles team of Talice Relleke and Abby Marshall defeated Lauren Fleetwood and Macey Prewire 6-4, 6-2 for the final win for the Spartans.

SHS tennis wins on Senior Night

The Shelbyville tennis team defeated Rushville 5-0 Monday on Senior Night.
