Virginia Miller

Virginia L. Miller, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away, Friday, June 8, 2018, at IU Methodist Hospital.

She was born September 17, 1929, in Wyandotte, Mich., to Clinton and Edna (Easton) Perkins. She married Clarence M. Miller and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2005.

Virginia is survived by her son, Edward R. (Gloria) Miller of Shelbyville; daughter, Vicki (Michael) Jaussaud of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law, Becky Miller; 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, her half-brothers, Robert Perkins and Joe Perkins, half-sister, Theresa Perkins, and step-brother, Mike Rodenberger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, her son, Rick A. Miller, 1 brother, and 5 sisters.

Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching baseball. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She had a love for gardening both vegetables and flowers. Her most precious times were spent with her family.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the funeral home with Reverend Seth Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
