SHS is back in action today at Bear Chase against Pendleton Heights.

Kemper earns medalist honor

The Triton Central girls’ golf team finished second overall in a three-way meet with Greenfield-Central and Rushville on Monday at Hawk’s Tail.

Triton Central finished with a 217. Greenfield-Central shot a 209 for first and Rushville a 233 for third.

Elizabeth Kemper led the Tigers with a 48 to earn the medalist honor. Sydney Bass shot a 54, Kristy Gregory a 57, Lydia Lee a 58 and Hollie Duncan a 59.

“The Tigers are learning to adapt and adjust to tougher courses,” said TC head coach Michael Buck. “The greens and fairways are beautiful at Hawk’s Tail. However, the rough is incredibly rugged with harsh grass. It was a great experience that will make us a better team.”
