ICC releases all-conference football team

The Indiana Crossroads Conference released the All-ICC football team this week.

From Triton Central, Aaron Steele, Matt Guhl, Luke Hornung and Keaton Kermode were named All-ICC. Their teammates, Jaxon Miller, Josh Mullen, Richard Knowles and Hayden Kermode, were named honorable mentions.

TC finished its season 10-2 overall, including a 6-1 mark in conference play. Scecina won the ICC title with a 7-0 record. The Crusaders will play Western Boone in regional play tonight.

Steele played in eight games before a knee injury cost him the rest of his senior season. He finished with 1,030 passing yards and seven touchdowns. Steele also rushed for 227 yards and seven touchdowns. He ends his career with four All-ICC selections at three different positions -- wide receiver, defensive back and quarterback.

K. Kermode, a junior, led the Tigers with 886 rushing yards and 13 scores, according to MaxPreps. Knowles, a senior, rushed for 736 yards and 10 touchdowns (nine games). Both players averaged over seven yards per carry.

Guhl, a senior receiver, led TC with 390 receiving yards and three scores. He averaged 21.7 yards per catch.

Luke Hornung, a junior, had over 100 receiving yards and finished with 45 tackles at linebacker. Sophomore linebacker Hayden Kermode led TC with 69 tackles.

Miller, a sophomore, and Mullen, a senior, played on the offensive line and helped the Tigers rush for 2,173 yards and 37 touchdowns. TC averaged over six yards per carry as a team.
