The Shelbyville swim teams swept Beech Grove Monday at home. The girls won 131-47, while the boys won 100-83.

SHS freshman Grace Lux continued her fine first season of varsity swimming, breaking another school record during the meet. Lux won the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.20) in the fastest time in program history. It is the fourth individual school record for Lux this season.

Lux also won the 100 butterfly (1:00.39) and was on the winning 400 free relay team with Karissa Hamilton, Ellie Hamilton and Annie Chenoweth.

Ellie Hamilton won the 50 and 100 freestyle races Monday. Her sister, Karissa Hamilton, won 500 free and the 100 backstroke.

Chenoweth won the 200 individual medley and Adeline Haacker took first in the 100 breaststroke. SHS diver Addy Parsley won the diving portion of the meet.

On the boys’ side, Nick Amos won the 100 butterfly and the 50 free. Jackson Browning took first in the 100 and 200 free races. Mikey Lay also earned a blue ribbon, winning the 100 backstroke.

Amos, Browning and Lay teamed with Ethan Bohman to win the 200 free relay.

SHS diver Cameron Baker won the diving portion of the meet.
