Peggy L. Taylor, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at OUR Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born May 22, 1936, in Rushville, she was the daughter of James Edward Harper and Mildred Lucille Powell. She married Lloyd E. Taylor on July 2, 1967, and he preceded her on Sept. 25, 2018.

Survivors include daughter Darla McQueen of New Palestine; two sons, Richard L. Taylor (wife, Cathy) of Fairland, and Scott W. Taylor (wife, Diane) of Florida; two sisters, Nancy Neeb (husband, Pete) of Shelbyville, and Janet Loveless of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and three brothers.

Mrs. Taylor had lived in this area most of her lifetime and had been employed as production controller at Naval Avionics of Indianapolis for many years, retiring in 1998. She graduated from Manilla High School.

Peggy loved volunteering at Heartland Hospital and Winter Haven Elementary School and giving to others. She was a prankster and a very kind, loving lady. She dearly loved her dog, Lexi.
