Lois Johnson

Lois Ann Johnson, 83, of Flat Rock, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at OUR Hospice Inpatient Facility.

Born Nov. 5, 1935, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of John L. Hill and Olivia Hill. She married H.B. "Pete" Johnson in 1960 and he preceded her on Oct. 8, 2008.

Survivors include her two sons, Terry Johnson (fiance', Angie Sherfick) and Rusty Johnson, both of Flat Rock; daughter, Jonnie Willey of Flat Rock; two sisters, Joy Weddle of Shelbyville and Joyce Nickel of Texas; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and several brother and sisters.

Mrs. Johnson had lived in this area for over 50 years, moving from Shelbyville. She had been a factory worker at General Electric/Wellman's for over 40 years and graduated from Shelbyville High School.

Lois enjoyed dancing, cooking, and the thrill of the hunt while searching for bargains at garage sales and thrift stores. She was loved by all that she met, had many friends, and will be greatly missed. Lois will be remembered by all as a tough bird that loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Winchester Cemetery with Pastor Rick Leonard officiating.
