A Shelbyville man was arrested on drug charges when Shelbyville police pulled him over after a report of a possibly impaired driver who drove over an exit sign on Interstate 74.

Nicholas B. Marlin, 29, was charged with possession of methamphetamine (a Level 5 felony offense), possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug (a Level 5 felony), possession of a controlled substance (a Level 6 felony), possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle (a Level 6 offense), operating a vehicle while intoxicated (a Class A misdemeanor) and leaving the scene of a property damage crash (a B misdemeanor).
