Indy woman to pay it forward with $50,000 prize

A 22-year-old Indianapolis woman plans to give back after winning $50,000 on a Hoosier Lottery scratch-off.

Essence Davis bought a $3 Pinball Wizard Scratch-off a couple of blocks from Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis. She then had the winning ticket confirmed.

Davis, a housekeeper at a downtown Indianapolis hotel, plans to use some of the winnings to assist with a project she started to assemble kits to make life more comfortable for homeless people in Indianapolis.

A Beech Grove woman claimed the first top prize of $50,000 on $3 Pinball Wizard. As of Dec. 27, one top prize of $50,000 remains unclaimed.
