This is one of the 28 emaciated animals the Rushville Animal Shelter and Rush County Sheriff seized Friday. The animals have been relocated to a rescue farm in Greensburg.

The Rushville Animal shelter is asking for donations after it assisted in the seizure of 28 live animals Friday.

Director Kasey Hanna said the shelter had partnered with the Rush County Sheriff’s Department and the Board of Animal Health to confiscate 27 emaciated horses and donkeys and one bull from a Rush County farm as part of an investigation.
