Carol Janice Hauk, 81, of Fairland, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Cypress Run in Morristown.
Born May 16, 1938, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Myron and Leona (McDonald) Cole. She married Ray B. Hauk on April 27, 1959, and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Todd Hauk (wife, Christine) of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Kody Hauk and Raivin DeHart; and three great-grandchildren, Caydenn, Karter, and Rylinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Pauline Newton.
Mrs. Hauk was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of this area. She graduated from Waldron High School in 1956, and was member of Indian Creek Christian Church. She had previously been a member of Bethel Separate Baptist Church in Geneva.
Janice enjoyed growing and working with flowers, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road with Kevin Williams officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
