Editor,

To teens or parents of teens struggling to quit vaping, there is a new program called Quit the Hit. This is an online 30 day vaping cessation program that places teens in a peer chat group moderated by a quit coach. The program will take place on Instagram, a top social media platform for teens. Those who join will receive education from a trained quit coach, peer support, and the social media aspect.

JAMA Pediatrics did a recent study and found that 45% of teens who vape, want to quit. Kicking a tobacco addiction is hard enough for adults, let alone our teens. They are in need of help and the Quit the Hit program has been designed to meet teens where they hang out, on social media.
