Weddings, Engagements, Births and Anniversaries are published on Sunday and may be submitted by email to email@example.com or mailed or brought to our office at 123 E. Washington St, Shelbyville, IN 46176. Wedding, engagement and anniversary photos published cost $30. The following deadlines apply: For Sunday publication, information must be received by noon Thursday.
Obituaries must be submitted through a funeral director or mortuary. They must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Rates: First 100 words, free and includes name, age, hometown, date of death and funeral home in charge of services; Standard obituaries are $85 up to 250 words and 50 cents per word after 250; photos are an additional $25 charge per photo. Out-of-state obituaries must be pre-paid by credit card unless other arrangements are made. Deadline for Tuesday through Friday edition is 2:30 p.m. the prior day; for Saturday edition, deadline is 1:30 p.m. Friday..
The best way to submit photos is by email. Attach as Jpeg or TIFF, 200 dpi, no more than 1,200 pixels on max end, limit three images. Email general submissions to email@example.com. Email hard news (breaking news, fires, accidents, etc.) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Photos may also be submitted on CD. Send Jpeg or TIFF files, 200 dpi, no more than 1,400 pixels on max end, limit 12 images (unless otherwise suggested).
If hard copy photographs are submitted, they must be original photographic prints. No photo copy reproductions or computer printouts will be accepted.
Please provide all appropriate text with submission. Identify persons or things in image clockwise, left to right (from bottom left if necessary). Provide contact person with telephone contact number and email (if available).
