The Shelbyville girls’ basketball team fell to Yorktown on Saturday at home in Hoosier Heritage Conference action. The Tigers won, 70-58. 

Sophomore Jaidyn Tackett led SHS with 17 points in the loss. Freshman Kylee Edwards scored 16 points, while sophomore Madison Bassett scored nine points. Junior Megan Eads finished her day with eight points. 

SHS is now 3-14 overall and 1-4 in HHC play.

The Golden Bears host Rushville on Tuesday. 


TC competes at Maconaquah

The Triton Central wrestling team competed in the Maconaquah Invitational on Saturday. The Tigers finished fifth overall. 

Caden Alfrey and Seth Ortel led TC by winning their weight classes. Zach Stewart was second overall in his weight class, while Josh Thacker was third in his class.

Luciano goes 5-0

The Shelbyville wrestling team competed at the Guerin Catholic Invitational on Saturday. 

The Golden Bears won their final match over Rensselaer Central, 41-34.

Michael Luciano led SHS by going 5-0 on the day.
