Shelbyville’s Regan Mathies earned medalist honors Monday in a meet against Beech Grove at Blue Bear Golf Club. Mathies finished with a 49 as the Golden Bears won with a 218. The Hornets had an incomplete team.

Also for SHS, Kaylee Tackett and Kate Linville both shot a 52 while Lanie Stephens finished with a 65.

Emma Branham, Delaney Cornn, Ashlee Ballinger

The Triton Central golf team had a three-way meet against Morristown and Greenwood Christian Academy. TC’s Emma Branham was medalist with a 47.

GCA won the meet with a 240. Morristown finished with a 245.

Delaney Cornn led the Yellow Jackets with a round of 54. Ballinger shot a 56.

MHS volleyball team

The Morristown volleyball team beat Southwestern, 3-1.

The Yellow Jackets won 25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 25-14.

Brooklyn Bailey, Maddy Brown

The Triton Central volleyball team beat Knightstown, 3-2. The Tigers won 25-11, 24-26, 25-18, 24-26, 15-6.

Brooklyn Bailey and Maddy Brown both finished with game with 20 kills. Bailey added 10 digs and three aces while Brown collected 13 digs and three aces.

Emily Tyree, Kaylee Young, Mackenzie Shaw

The Waldron volleyball team beat Rushville, 3-0. The Mohawks won 25-11, 25-15, 25-11.

Emily Tyree finished with a career-high 39 assists while Young led the team with 12 kills. Shaw added 10 kills (16 attempts, 0 errors).

Lizzie Graham

The Triton Central soccer team fell to Indianapolis Ritter after a penalty kick shootout.

Lizzie Graham scored the lone goal for the Tigers as the score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation.

During the PK shootout, Ritter made three of its shots while TC was unable to get a ball in the net.

Zavier Poole, Grace McLaughlin

The Morristown cross country teams hosted Edinburgh and Victory Prep. All teams were incomplete.

For Morristown, Zavier Poole (21:29) took first in the boys race while Grace McLaughlin (27:16) earned a blue ribbon in the girls race.

TC tennis team

The Triton Central tennis team earned a 5-0 win over Waldron.

Alex Crouse beat Lucas Shaw 7-5, 1-6, 10-5 at one singles while Tucker Hutchinson defeated Jack Fischer 7-5, 6-4 at two singles. At three singles, Ashton Sturm handled Josh Kellems 6-0, 6-1.

Quintin Potts and Avram Rund got past Max Jones and Jacob Lindsey 6-2, 6-2 at one doubles while Oliver Gearlds and Griffin Sego topped Bryant Becker and Matthew Thomas 6-0, 6-1 at two doubles.

MHS tennis team

The Morristown tennis team beat Indianapolis Lutheran, 3-2.

At one singles, Grant Kessler beat Reese Bullock 6-2, 6-2 while Tyler Schonfeld defeated Blake Miller 6-1, 6-1 at two singles.

Carson Essex and Jerry Riley won by forfeit at two doubles.

Aidan Asher

The Shelbyville tennis team fell to Greenfield-Central, 1-4.

Aidan Asher (8-6) earned the lone win for the Golden Bears at one singles. He beat his G-C opponent 6-2, 7-6 (4).
