Stamper commits to IU South Bend

Triton Central senior forward Bailey Stamper committed to Indiana University South Bend in August. IU South Bend (NAIA), which is led by head coach Steve Bruce, competes in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. “Bailey comes from a great high school program at Triton Central,” Bruce said in a press release. “She brings an athletic presence at the five spot, including the ability to step outside the arc and be an accurate shooter. Her ‘teamness’ and leadership skills reflect the high character person that she is.” Stamper received the “Mental Attitude” Award at Triton Central as a junior and averaged a county-high 2.3 blocks per game as the Tigers ended their season in semistate action. “I chose IU South Bend because of the family atmosphere,” said Stamper. “I felt welcomed by the coaches, and I’m so excited to continue my academic and athletic career as a Titan.”
