Shelbyville then opened the game up in the top half of the third scoring six runs. Thompson again, helping his own cause had an RBI double, Tyler Smalley had an RBI single, Brock Pitman and Brayden Basey walked, and Kaleb Schaf single produced runs.
The righty Thompson allowed zero hits, zero runs over six innings, striking out 12 and picking up the win. Alex Pattingill took the loss for Hauser. Pattingill allowed six hits and nine runs over three innings, striking out four.
Shelbyville produced nine hits and six of them came from Smalley, Thompson, and Caden Tackett with each producing two hits. Schaf, Mitchell Yeend and Luke Jackson each added their own hit to the tally.
